4 Generations!

I just face book yelled at a friend for not posting on her blog!  I figured I better get on it so I don't get it back at me!  I'm so very behind on EVERYTHING that by the time I sit down to blog I'm all out of words I wanted to say!  I just need to get up early I think and do at least one or two posts a day!  We'll see....good intentions and all!  I love to blog.  I just HAVE to do laundry and feed my kids.  lame. ;)

This cute little picture is 4 generations of first born oldest girls.  We are all the oldest kids in our family. All girls.  My moms granny was a first born girl too.  We have a picture of me and my mom and my granny and her too.  It would have been cool to get one with Darby as a baby but that never happened. I love love love this picture because you see my grannies twinkle in her eyes.  She is a feisty lady and I love her for it!  She is also set in her ways and loves deeply.  She always took care of my gramps and they loved each other the way that they write country songs about.  I love their example of love and kindness and service to each other.  I know that is where my mom gets it and hopefully I will be able to teach it to my kids.
I love my mom's smile in this one.  She is truly one of the kindest souls you will ever meet.  She LOVES her grandkids and her kids.  She would give you her last dollar and I always remember her going with out if it meant that we could have more of something.  She takes the long way home so she can spend more time with you and says super lame things that we LOVE but won't admit.  Like "I'll buy if you fly" (meaning she'll buy the treats or soda if you go get it)  or "I'm pickin' up what you're throwin' down" or when she sends a package she will always call and say "the Santa has left the North pole!  I repeat the Santa has left the North Pole!"  (It changes depending on the holiday!)  I wouldn't have it any other way.  Her answering machine says "you have reached the Muir summer home...  Some are home, some are not!"  HA HA HA  HA HA!  I adore her and talk to her almost every day.  I sure hope I don't drive Darby too crazy so that she will want to talk to me every day when she is older.

This is the sweetest post! I love how all of you look alike, too. Except Darby...I think she looks like Brandon. Still, very cute and a lovely tribute :o)
